Münster: The Westphalian Youngster Auction took place online this evening. 31 just three-year-old youngster were up for sale. At an average price of 14,100 Euros, 20 young talents for the dressage ring or show jumping course changed hands. The most popular offer of the evening was a young talent from the show jumping lot with the head number 118. American customers invested 44,500 Euros in the Baggio son Burberry.
After the live auction of riding horses on Friday at the Westphalian Horse Centre, the Youngster Auction took place again this evening as an online auction. Just three years of age the young talents have a promising future ahead of them. The lot arose interest from customers all over the word. In the end, nine of the horses changed hands to customers outside of Germany. The Westphalian Stud Book turned over a total of 282,000 Euros this evening. 20 youngsters changed hands at an average price of 14,100 Euros.
The auction candidates with a jumping pedigree were particularly popular among the customers this evening. The top price was achieved by the Baggio son Burberry (breeder: Carsten Rohleder, Dortmund; exhibitor: Ugur Sirrin, Neuötting) with the head number 118. After a long BidUp, customers from America had the most staying power and bought the grey stallion at the hammer price of 44,500 Euros. His dam is the Verb.Pr.St. Colicola by Cordess. This line has already produced several successful show jumpers. Burberry convinces with attitude and excellent power at the jump. The Comme il faut/Stolzenberg son Curt with the head number 125 (breeder: Ivo Werner, Hamburg; exhibitor: Ludger Inholte, Hamburg) also cracked the 40,000 Euro mark. For a long time, customers from the Netherlands and Belgium fought for the favour of the youngster. In the end, the customers from the Netherlands had the most staying power and bought the stallion at the hammer price of 41,500 Euros. His dam, L.St. Sonntagsfrische, was also successful in jumping competitions up to advanced level. International customers invested an average of 16,861 Euros in the nine sold jumping auction candidates.
A total of eleven youngsters with a dressage pedigree changed hands at an average price of 11,841 Euros. Head number 105 Just in Motion changed hands for the highest price of 16,000 Euros. The pedigree of this young stallion bred and exhibited by Bernhard Schulze-Sutthoff, Greven, promises great things for the future. His sire is the multiple World Champion of young dressage horses, Jovian. His dam Total Emotion descends from the famous Totilas. Just in Motion convinces with a lot of expression and strength of movement. A young horse you will certainly hear a lot about in the future.
