Wellington: Worldcup win for Frederic Wandres

New best international result for the Oldenburger Bluetooth

Wellington (fn-press). Frederic Wandres (Hagen a.T.W.) escaped the gray German winter. The 34-year-old competed at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington/Florida. The start of the competition series lasting several weeks was extremely successful for the head rider at Hof Kasselmann: with the Oldenburg Bluetooth OLD he won both the Grand Prix and the World Cup Freestyle with a clear lead.

Frederic Wandres has only been presenting the Oldenburg Bluetooth in show sports for nine months. At the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, the twelve-year-old gelding presented his fourth international Grand Prix Freestyle and achieved a new personal best result: the judge's verdict was 81.065 percent. Wandres and the Bordeaux-Riccione son, born at the Lewitz Stud, also had the best result (74.158) in the Grand Prix preceding the World Cup Freestyle. Frederic Wandres was the only German participant in the World Cup.

The American Anna Buffini took second place in both tests. Her sports partner is not unknown in this country: FRH Davinia la Douce (by Don Frederico-A Jungle Prince) was in sports with Anabel Balkenhol for many years before she was sold to the American in the summer of 2020. The 27-year-old rider and the 14-year-old Hanoverian mare scored 78.485 percent in the World Cup Freestyle. Ashley Holzer, also USA, came in third with Havanna (77.25). This mare is also a Hanoverian and descends from Hochadel. hen
