The countdown is on - the decision will be made on Saturday in Riyadh: The "Champion of Champions" will be crowned in the showdown final of the Longines Global Champions Tour 2022. Three of the best show jumpers in the world can still decide the Tour Final in Saudi Arabia in their favour on Saturday.
Olympic champion Ben Maher currently holds pole position with 250 points. Close on his heels in the LGCT ranking is Belgian Pieter Devos with 244 points. Christian Ahlmann (SWE) in third place with 238 points also still has every chance of winning the Tour. Daniel Deusser is also doing well. After two Grand Prix victories in Cannes and New York, DoubleD is currently ranked eighth in the Tour Ranking and will be present in Riyadh.
European Champion André Thieme will also be competing in the Arab Kingdom from Thursday for the first time in the Global Tour. At the request of his team colleague Marcus Ehning, he is to reinforce the Valkenswaard United team with his exceptional mare DSP Chakaria. Marcus Ehning will of course also be in Riyadh, as will Christian Kukuk, Philipp Weishaupt, Hans-Dieter Dreher and Jens Baackmann.
