Riding helmet

A solid break and splinter-proof riding cap or a riding helmet with a three- or four-point attachment (according to the safety regulations of the DIN standard) is obligatory for all riders, in any case during jumping exercises and when riding off-road. The riding helmet must be secured under the chin so that it cannot slip. It should always be worn during all equestrian activities, ALWAYS.
In tournament competitions these caps must be worn by young people up to the age of 18. For juniors, the riding helmet according to European Standard "EN 1384" is generally prescribed in performance tests according to the Performance Test Regulations (LPO) as well as in competitions of the Competition Regulations (WBO). In addition, the wearing of such a helmet is also obligatory for all riders when jumping at tournaments (also on the preparation course) as well as in young horse tests. Also the consequences of liability law should always be considered. For children and young people it should be a matter of course from the very beginning never to get on the horse without a helmet. Adults should set an example in their role model function. It is recommended to wear a protective vest (preferably according to European Standard EN13158, Level 3). It must be worn when jumping over fixed obstacles. I.e. at the show it is mandatory in cross-country tests, but allowed in other performance tests (LP) such as jumping, dressage, basic and advanced tests.
