Despite Corona pandemic and herpes virus, the Reiterverein Mannheim holds its traditional Maimarkt tournament.
But this ever-popular tournament will take place in a changed form.

The kick-off will be the dressage from April 28.
In the MVV Stadium will be a Grand Prix, a Grand Prix Special and a Grand Prix Freestyle.
The list of participants also shines. Thus, among others, the two multi-champions Isabell Werth and Dorothee Schneider can be found on the list.

Of course, there will also be other dressage competitions as well as the traditional jumping competitions. Jumping in the categories 160cm can be found.
Also, the U25 Jumping Cup will also have a station in Mannheim.
"We have designed the tournament to ensure the maximum reduction of contacts with a strict hygiene concept. The implementation is of course dependent on the approval of the authorities. However, the Reiter-Verein Mannheim as the organizer is also prepared, if the requirements entail, to hold the tournament without spectators, of course under strict Corona rules. The safety of people from contagion has absolute priority, we will orient our actions accordingly," says Peter Hofmann, President of the Reiter-Verein Mannheim.
Space is also being created in Mannheim for the Para riders. For a long time it was initially not clear whether the pair riding station can take place.
Mainly due to the spirited commitment of the Foundation German Top Horse Sport, the CPEDI3* can now take place.
"Therefore, we are very grateful that Mannheim is to take place, because we now urgently need as well as all other nations also an international comparison to be able to classify our current performance level. Last year, we had no opportunity to do so. And it is still something different to compete under tournament conditions than in a training course," explains Para-Equipe boss Britta Bando.
