Stadl Paura: Freestyle victory for Jessica von Bredow-Werndl

Stadl Paura (fn-press). The Austrian Equestrian Center in Stadl Paura has now invited to its Easter classic again after a forced break due to the corona virus. Traditionally, a number of German dressage couples also take part in the four-star CDI, including Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Naphael Netz from Aubenhausen, who were able to return home with victories and good placings.

Shortly before her baby break, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl presented her 13-year-old Hanoverian Ferdinand BB (by Florencio) again in the arena. In the Grand Prix, the Olympic champion and European champion had to settle for third place (72.370 percent), but in the Grand Prix Freestyle, the 36-year-old didn't give the competition a chance. All five judges gave the couple first place, with three jury members awarding more than 80 percent. Overall, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl achieved 79.835 percent. The Grand Prix winner Lisa-Maria Klössinger (Ampfing) took second place in the freestyle with the 17-year-old gelding FBW Daktari (by Donautanz), who was bred in Baden-Württemberg. The two brought it to 76.565 percent. They had won the Grand Prix with 72.652 percent. The third-best couple in the freestyle also represented the German colours: Bavarian Franz Trischberger (Waakirchen) and the Bavarian gelding DSP James Bond (by Johnson) finished the test with 74.9 percent.

Jessica von Bredow-Werndl did not travel to Stadl Paura alone, but was accompanied by her student Selina Söder and her employee Raphael Netz. Both started in the tests for U25 riders. The weekend was extremely successful for 22-year-old Selina Söder, daughter of the Bavarian Prime Minister. With the Dutch mare Zaire E, who previously competed with Jessica von Bredow-Werndl for many years and is now serving the young Selina well as a teaching horse, she won the U25 freestyle with 73.75 percent and had previously placed second in each the Intermediaire II and in the Grand Prix. In these two competitions, European champion Raphael Netz was unbeatable. The rider in the Werndl stable completed the Inter II with 73.039 percent and the Grand Prix with 70.726. The 23-year-old sat in the saddle of the Hanoverian Exklusiv BB (s. Edward). hen
