The start of the international five-star tour of the dressage riders at the 36th STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS is complete. Once again Isabell Werth, the most successful dressage rider of all times, came off as the winner in the Prize of Abelein Event Service. For the fifth time in a row, the rider from Rheinberg won the Grand Prix, the qualifier for tomorrow's freestyle in the FEI Dressage World Cup 2022/2023, in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle. Riding the twelve-year-old DSP Quantaz (Quaterback/Hohenstein), Werth managed a faultless performance. 77.217 percent brought the clear victory. "I am really satisfied with this Grand Prix. Quantaz was very concentrated. We can continue like this," said Isabell Werth, who had already been regarded as the favourite in the run-up to the event, after the prize-giving ceremony. In 2019, the seven-time Olympic gold medallist was still in the lead with Weihegold OLD.

Behind her, Ingrid Klimke, who celebrated her championship premiere in the dressage saddle at the World Championships in Herning this year, lined up on the 14-year-old Fidertanz son Franziskus FRH (74.391). The riding champion stayed just ahead of Frederic Wandres, who presented his Bluethooth OLD in great form (74.109). Federal Coach Monica Theodorescu was also satisfied with the other rankings. Benjamin Werndl and Daily Mirror as well as Dorothee Schneider on Faustus followed in fourth and fifth place. Tomorrow's freestyle competition, starting at 5 p.m., will be about qualification points for the World Cup Final, which will be held in Omaha (USA) from 4 to 8 April 2023.
