Once again, they have shown everyone: Why they are double world champions and Olympic team winners. Henrik von Eckermann and his child Edward often play in a different league. This was also the case at the fourth World Cup leg in Verona.
Only seven pairs remained without faults in the round over 1.60m. In addition to the world number one, the Austrian Gerfried Puck and the only nine-year-old Equitron Naxcel V (by Balou du Rouet) also delivered a flawless round. And Harry Charles and his Romeo (by Contact vd Heffinck) were also in the jump-off for important World Cup points. In the end, the U-25 rider was even clearly faster in the jump-off with 39.95 seconds than von Eckermann, who needed 40.55 seconds for the course. But unfortunately not without mistakes. So the Briton slipped to third place behind von Eckermann and Puck.

The winner was then also more than satisfied with his result. "I knew I didn't have to risk everything today. A safe clear round was more important this time."
There was no jump-off for the German riders, however. Marcus Ehning and Stargold (by Stakkato Gold) still managed to secure ninth place including prize money with a clear round.
Daniel Deusser and his Killer Queen VDM (by Eldorado vd Zeshoek) were prevented from taking part in the jump-off by two faults in a combination with a kind of bush oxer. Christian Ahlmann and his Emerald son Mandato vd Neerheide retired early.
After the fourth leg, Victoria Gulliksen is still leading ahead of Jur Vrieling, Bryan Balsiger and Henrik von Eckermann. The best German is currently Gerrit Nieberg in eighth place. Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann holds position twelve.
