It is sad news that Eileen Heinglein announced. Her mare "First Lady" passed away some time ago.

The 15 year old Württemberger mare by Florencio out of a Donnerhall dam was bred by Daniela Dolensky.
She was brought into the sport by Pieter van der Raadt. Together with him she competed in her first shows at the age of five. In 2011 he presented her in dressage classes A and L.
In total, van der Raadt showed her at competitions for three years and trained her up to Prix St. George.

In 2013, a change in the life of the black mare occurred. She came to the stable of Anna Christina Abbelen. She bought the mare as a second horse to support her successful horse "Fürst on Tour". While Abbelen was still enjoying international success with "Fürst on Tour" at the time, she nevertheless continues to show First Lady at national competitions.
They were also able to place internationally already in 2014 at the CDIO-PJYR Hagen "Future Champions".

After the sale of "Fürst on Tour", First Lady rose as Abbelen's championship horse. In 2017, after great successes, the two qualified for the European Young Riders Championships in Roosendahl. There they won team gold and two times individual silver.
The last tournament of the two together was in 2017 at the German Championships in Aachen. Here the two took 4th place.

In the spring of 2018, the mare was sold to Eileen Henglein.
During the 2018 season, the two were initially able to establish themselves at the national junior level. They placed more often in national M classes. Internationally, the two could never be seen.
In 2019 and 2020, the two then established themselves at national young rider - level. Again, they were never internationally on the road.
The last tournament of the two was in the fall of 2020.

Now the Henglein family decided to have the mare covered. They took her to a clinic. There First Lady now suffered a serious accident and had to be euthanized.
"Lady was in the horse clinic to be inseminated," Henglein announced to the dressage portal Eurodressage. "We wanted to have a foal from her. Unfortunately, the vets there were not able to lunge her, and she suffered a multifragmentary fracture. I still can't believe it. Lady was such a fun and unique horse."
