Dual leadership at foals and 40,500 euros for Colman daughter:

Caesar

(Hörup)
Nine strictly selected foals and four young show jumpers, some of them already with considerable show successes, came up for sale via hybrid auction at the Springflut Festival in Hörup. The two most expensive foals were sold at 15,000 Euros each, and Jassina by Colman-Casall was the best paid riding horse: she was worth 40,500 Euros to her new owners from the USA.

Roland Metz, Managing Director of the Holsteiner Verband, had put together the lot together with the team of organizers led by Show Director Stephan Johannsen and summed up with satisfaction: "I am very pleased that the premiere of the cooperation at this event was so successful. The Springflut Festival represents a valuable sporting event in Schleswig-Holstein," said Metz. "Many interested parties from northern Germany, but also from all over the world due to the hybrid format, were present on site in Hörup or online." Catalog number 6, Caesar by Clarimo-Colman, was knocked down at 15,000 euros to Lars Brunk from Schleswig-Holstein. In addition to his prominent sire, the colt scores with a Holstein mare line (Stamm 318D2) that is successful in sport and breeding: from the direct dam line, which has been cultivated for generations on the North Sea island of Föhr, come championship horses of great number - including the much too early departed H&M Chilli Willi (Nicola Philippaerts), Glock's Cognac Champlanc (Gerco Schröder) or Camiro (Tony Andre Hansen). The second top price was provided by catalog number 1, Chique by Cahil-Quibery, she also cost 15,000 euros. The filly out of the Holsteiner Stamm 890 by the former champion stallion Cahil has the second-generation Colman daughter Conella in her pedigree, who is the dam of three licensed stallions, Quabri, Uno I and II, as well as Uno by Uriko, who is currently successful in the Youngster Tour at 1.40 meters under Lena Glisic. Chique will continue to be at home in Germany. Five of the nine foals received a knockdown price of 10,000 Euros or more, the average price was around 10,400 Euros.

The exquisite collection of four riding horses had catalog number 103, Jassina by Colman-Casall, at its top with a hammer price of 40,500 euros. The five-year-old gray mare will now continue her career in the USA after convincing with a victory in a show jumping competition at her first public appearance only a few weeks ago. The second highest-priced offering was catalog number 101, Coutinho by Cantesini-Cascari: the four-year-old gray out of Stamm 42B cost 38,000 euros and will remain in Germany. The average price of the riding horses was 32,000 Euros.

For the good cause the organizer team had thought of something else: A small obstacle in the Springflut Festival design for children was auctioned off as part of the auction and changed hands for 7,000 euros to Natascha Püpke representing SENA Cura Mobile Pflege. The proceeds will benefit the Flensburg outpatient hospice for children and young people.
