Chippendale sold to Belgium

The licensed KWPN stallion Chippendale has been sold. The new owner is curiously a jumping stable, Stable Tommelberg in Wuustwezel, Belgium. And this although Chippendale is a dressage stallion.

Chippendale, by Lord Leatherdale x Negro x Landadel was already successful at a young age. For example, he won his stallion performance test and participated in the final of the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.

In 2014, the black stallion then also attracted international attention in the small tour. In the same year, Bahraini Noora Al Khalifa bought 50% of Chippendale's ownership for 1.5 million euros.
The idea behind this was that he would act as an Olympic horse for Anna van Olst, or -if this did not happen- be sold afterwards.
Chippendale was neither sold nor did he participate in the Olympic Games. However, a long legal battle followed in Dutch courts between van Olst and Al Khalifa. Then, in 2017, the legal dispute appeared to be settled and Chippendale returned entirely to van Olst ownership.

For a full six years, Chippendale disappeared from the international scene and did not reappear until 2020 with Charlotte Fry.

Now it has been announced that the Belgian Marc Geerts from Stable Tommelberg has acquired the stallion. He already bought the stallion "Guinness" from Van Olst Stables a few weeks ago.
