Changes in the Auction Concept of the Westphalian Stud Book

Münster: The Westphalian Riding Horse Auctions for 2023 were announced as pure online auctions. After the successful live auction last Friday, this concept has now been reconsidered at the one in Münster-Handorf. The following riding horse auctions will take place as OnLive auctions. Bids can then be placed on site and online.
Exactly three years ago, at the beginning of the Corona pandemic, the Westphalian Stud Book changed the marketing concept at short notice. All auctions took place as pure online auctions. The success proved the organisers right. Numerous riding horses, foals and unridden young horses changed hands online. Due to the good results of these online auctions, this year's riding horse auctions were initially also planned online.

Last week, the Westphalian Stud Book once again made a virtue out of necessity. After the cancellation of the winter auction online, a pure live auction was organised in the Westphalian Horse Centre in no time. "We received a lot of praise from all sides for our auction last Friday. Customers, exhibitors and interested parties felt very comfortable in our event hall. The Friday evening date was also very well received," says a pleased Thomas Münch, the auction manager. Due to this positive response, the marketing concept for riding horses at the Westphalian Stud Book has now been reconsidered. The upcoming auctions will be held in the form of an OnLive auction on Friday evenings. Bids can then be placed live on site in Münster-Handorf and online at onlineauction.westfalenpferde.de.

The dates for the Westphalian Riding Horse Auctions 2023 can be included in the event calendars as follows:
1st Spring Auction: 31 March
2nd Summer Auction: 9th June
3rd Autumn Auction: 29th September
All information about the event and schedule will be published on westfalenpferde.de shortly before the auctions.
Further auctions such as foal and youngster auctions will continue to take place as usual as pure online auctions as announced.
