It was the showdown in Riyadh: The final of the Longines Global Champions Tour 2022! In the end, Ben Maher was able to defend his pole position in the overall ranking of the Tour with Faltic HB (by Baltic VDL) despite a drop in the round of the Grand Prix. His pursuers Pieter Devos & Mom's Toupie de la Roque (by Kannan) and Christian Ahlmann & Dominator 2000 Z (by Diamant de Semilly) took two poles on the way to the finish and lined up behind Maher in second and third place.
For Maher it was already the third LGCT Tour victory with prize money of 232,500 Euros. Sixth place on the 2022 Tour went to Daniel Deusser with two Grand Prix victories in Cannes and New York. Christian Kukuk and Philipp Weishaupt took 12th and 13th place in the 2022 ranking.

The last Grand Prix of the Longines Global Champions Tour in Riyadh was won by Michael Pender in the saddle of HHS Calais (by Cavalier Royale). Only four pairs had made it into the jump-off in the last Grand Prix. Many favourites fell by the wayside in Riyadh, such as World Champion Henrik von Eckermann and his King Edward (by Edward), the two came out of the course with an unusual 12 faults. His compatriot Peder Fredricson with H&M Christian K (by Namelus R) suffered a similar fate.
Second place and thus a place in the Super Grand Prix in Prague (Michael Pender was already qualified after his first GP victory in Valkenswaard) went to Harrie Smolders and the Holsteiner Monaco (by Cassini II) ahead of Jur Vrieling and the Holsteiner Long John Silver (by Lasino). Fourth place went to Malin Baryard Johnsson and H&M Indiana (by Kashmir van Schuttershof).
After the victory in the GCL with the Berlin Eagles and the 1st place in the individual classification, there was another top placement for Philipp Weishaupt & Coby in fifth place in the Grand Prix. Marcus Ehning and Stargold (by Stakkato Gold) finished seventh with a drop in the Grand Prix in Riyadh. Daniel Deusser and Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z (by Tangelo vd. Zuuthoeve) jumped into eighth place after a net roll in the GP.
