Online auction of dressage stallions: 326,000 euros for Benicio's son – Don Diamond!

The 19th DSP Stallion Days ended yesterday evening with a bang. The online auction of the dressage collection on dsp.horse24.com started at prime time at 7.30 p.m. And once again the world was the guest of the German Sport Horse! Bids from over 20 nations, exciting bidding duels and sometimes up to nine stallions in the bid up, the best entertainment was offered here!


For the second year in a row, Franz Galneder from Taufkirchen presented the price peak with the licensed Benicio son – Don Diamond. The dark chestnut is the full brother of the licensing winner of the year 2021, Best Future. This year Galneder achieved 326,000 euros for this pairing. The stallion went into the training hands of Anna Catherine and Andreas Schöffner via the online auction. New owners are long-standing customers of the training stable in Löningen. And in Löningen, the Primus of the vintage, the licensing champion by Don Royal - Quadroneur bred by Dr. Frank Klakow: He will move into a box at the Sprehe Stud in Löningen.


Listed second in the price ranking is the premium stallion from the first crop of Fürst Samarant out of a dam by Lissaro (exhibitor: Mathieu Beckmann), who went to Belgium with a hammer price of 245,000 euros. In future, the striking licensed Totilas son will be at home at the Vorwerk stud in Cappeln. Fourth in the group of six-figure hammer prices, with 105,000 euros, is a premium stallion by Zackerey, exhibited by Heinrich Ramsbrock, out of a mother by Ehrenwort.


There was great joy in Donzdorf yesterday evening: the Casper family was very happy about the successful purchase at 81,000 euros for the strong-moving son of Escamillo out of a dam by Quaterback - Don Royal. The dark bay stallion, bred by Frank Klakow from Krumke, will be at Gestüt Birkhof in the future. The son of Durello gets a stud box right next to his sire out of a dam by Sir Oldenburg, exhibited by Hella Kuntz. Landoberstallmeisterin Dr. Astrid von Velsen-Zerweck bought the typical dark bay stallion for the Marbach State Stud.


And once again, the Celle State Stud has used the Lot of the German Sport Horse Main Licensing: State stable master Axel Brockmann bought the premium stallion from Top Gear - Don Schufro for 93,000 euros. The premium stallion by Benicio - Belantis I has found new owners in Bavaria, and a stud service is also planned here. A scout from Germany bought the premium stallion by Fair Game - Sandro Hit, exhibited by Xenophon 2 GmbH from Bad Homburg, for customers from the USA for 82,000 euros. The premium stallion by Maracanà - Bisasini is being prepared for his career in the dressage arena in a training stable just outside of Berlin. Schulze Averdiek Sportpferde Gbr from Rosendahl, who are also breeders and exhibitors of the show jumping winner 2022, are delighted with the prize of 74,000 euros.


With a total turnover of 2,409,000 euros in the online auction of the dressage stallions and 959,000 euros for the show jumping stallions, the Süddeutsche Pferdezuchtverband Marketing GmbH was able to increase its turnover by 200,000 euros compared to the previous year. The licensed dressage stallions achieved an average price of 92,952 euros, the non-licensed stallions 28,562 euros.

The licensing area in Munich has once again confirmed itself as a marketplace for promising sport horses alongside the stallions at stud” was the conclusion of marketing manager Fritz Fleischmann.
