Description
For this exercise you will need a row of poles with about 5 poles. After riding over the poles, the rider rides back in a bow towards the beginning of the row of poles. But instead of going over the first pole again, we start with the second pole first, so that the row of poles is shorter. This is repeated until only the last bar is passed in the form of a volt.
Tips and hints
To avoid one-sided strain, the exercise should be ridden on both hands. Alternatively, you can alternate to the right and left during the exercise after riding over the poles. The bows should be executed correctly so that the first pole can be ridden as cleanly as the following pole of the pole row.Training goal
The exercise extremely demands the horse's concentration. Especially riding the row of poles from the side is very unusual and requires a high degree of obedience. Furthermore, the hindquarters are activated and a gymnastic exercise is performed.
