Racetrack jumps

Racetrack jumps are made of wood on the underside, the upper half consists of hedges or bushes. In their shape, racetrack jumps are not very wide, but depending on the requirements they are relatively high. To save energy, the horse should be trained to wipe through the soft bushes, so that a high basic speed can be maintained. Skipping the jump without even touching the bushes takes a lot of energy and time.
In order to jump through such yielding hedges more easily, the horse legs are often rubbed with grease.
