Münster: This weekend the hearts of the spectators at the Westphalian Horse Centre will not only be warmed by the spring sun! The quality lot of the Westphalian Spring Auction will make everyone's hearts beat faster. Trying out the auction candidates is still possible until Friday noon. The auction will kick off with five finely selected foals of the 2023 crop, starting on Friday, 31 March at 6 pm.
Kapp 60 young horses for the dressage arena and show jumping course are up for sale at the Westphalian Spring Auction. The auction lot is supplemented by five finely selected foals of the current crop. Head number 1 is none other than the Reserve Champion Mare of the Elite Show 2022. The highly talented daughter of Sir Heinrich immediately impresses with her outstanding quality and movement potential. She passed her broodmare test with rideability scores of 9.5.
Besides the riding horses, a licensed pony stallion completes the promising lot. With the significant name Designed to Dance, the son of Dating AT NRW/Vincent carries the head number 5. His dam was herself a champion mare at the Elite Show in Münster-Handorf. Besides this auction candidate, she produced two other licensed sons. The lot of jumping auction candidates includes 16 horses. The Westphalian ambassador Comme il faut NRW has four offspring in this exclusive jumping lot, his sire Cornet Obolensky two. Some of the young talents have already been highly successful in competitions and are waiting for further promotion by their new owners.
Before the riding horses enter the track on Friday evening, the auction round belongs to the youngest Westphalians. Five finely selected foals are for sale at the beginning of this auction. Three dressage-focused young stars as well as one jumping-focused foal and one pony foal enter the auction arena at the beginning. They impress with quality and interesting pedigree. Descending from successful stallions, they were bred from high-quality dam lines. A live presentation of the foals will take place on Friday at 5 pm during a champagne reception.
For the first time, the riding horse auction in Münster-Handorf will take place in the form of an OnLive Auction. Bids can be placed live on site as well as online at onlineauction.westfalenpferde.de. Of course, bidding by telephone is also possible. Current video impressions of the auction candidates as well as x-ray pictures and veterinary examination reports are available on the online auction site. The auction starts on Friday, 31 March, at 6 pm. The riding horses will be presented in hand during the auction. A final public training session for the dressage horses will be held on Friday from 8.30 am to 12 noon. The jumping auction candidates will show themselves once again in a public training session from 12 pm to 2 pm. Admission to the auction is free. Beer and non-alcoholic drinks are available free of charge for all visitors.
