Middle Circle

BASIC

Description

A circle is ridden in the middle of the arena. The schooling figure starts at B or E and only touches the outside track at two points. The point X forms the centre of the circle.

Tips and hints

The middle circle is connected by the outer track only at two points, nevertheless the circle should be round as indicated in the picture. Care should be taken to ensure that the horse does not "run away" over the outer thigh. The middle circle is well suited for warming up, as the large radius is easy on the joints.
