Deutschlands U25 Springpokal: Lars Volmer wins final in Aachen

Aachen (fn-press). Lars Volmer and Zycarlo Z win the final of Germany's U25 Show Jumping Cup organized by the German Top Equestrian Foundation and the Müter family at the CHIO in Aachen. Second place went to Franziska Müller with Cornado's Queen. Third place went to Christin Wascher with Quincy 200

In 2017, Lars Volmer (Legden) took part for the first time in the tournament series Deutschlands U25 Show Jumping Cup organized by the German Top Equestrian Foundation and the Müter family. He won the qualifiers back then, but things didn't go well in the final. Today he started again in the Aachen Soers. This time he rode two spotless laps in the final and set the fastest time in the four-man jump-off at 44.41 seconds. Volmer rode the ten-year-old Zycarlo Z by Zandor Z, which he received from Johannes Ehning. He is currently working part-time at Ehning. The rest of the day he takes care of the horses at home. His whole family has been active in equestrian sports for generations. He himself was ten years young when he won his first medium level show jumping test. This was followed by participation in German championships, the prize for the best and European championships. Even if he has already gained a lot of experience, he says: "It's always nice to win, of course. But to win here in Aachen is something very special!”

Second place goes to Franziska Müller (Hückeswagen) and Cornado's Queen, who showed the second fastest ride in the jump-off with 45.75 seconds. Christin Wascher (Redefin) rode in Aachen for the first time today. She and the eleven-year-old Oldenburg stallion Quincy by Quintero were third. The 23-year-old was the first rider in the jump-off today and presented a clear round. In the end, her 48.39 seconds weren't fast enough. The fourth starter pair in the jump-off was unlucky. Emilia Löser (Damme) and Lesodero set the fastest time of 43.98 seconds, but had a knockdown, so they "only" finished fourth.

Germany's U25 Show Jumping Cup is made possible financially by the German Top Equestrian Foundation and the Müter family, Elmgestüt Drei Eichen in Königslutter. Founded on the initiative of Otto Becker and Heinrich-Hermann Engemann, the jumping cup gives young show jumpers up to the age of 25 the opportunity to gain further experience in top-class sport at top tournaments. Classes S** and S*** are ridden.
