Holstein Pilot Project: Licensing from 13 to 16 December in Elmshorn

The Holstein licensing took place for the first time at the beginning of this year in February in the Holstenhallen in Neumünster. After a thorough analysis of the premiere event, the Board of the Verband der Züchter des Holsteiner Pferdes e.V. (Holstein Horse Breeders Association) and the Managing Directors, with the involvement of stallion owners and trainers, have decided to hold the next main licensing in December 2023. This will be held from 13 to 16 December 2023 at the Verband's facilities in Elmshorn.
The change of location from Neumünster to Elmshorn at the chosen time will be a pilot project, which was discussed in advance in various working groups. "We held numerous constructive discussions after the February licensing and obtained opinions from those involved," said First Chairman Ulrich Steuber. "With these changes, not only will synergy effects with the holding of the event at the Association's facility be used, but the period from the pre-selection (30 October to 3 November) to the licensing will also be shortened in the interests of the horses." After the pilot event, a joint decision will be made on the location where future stallion approvals will be held.
