It was the showdown of the giants at the Prague Playoffs: 13 Grand Prix winners of the 2022 Longines Global Champions season competed against each other in the Super Grand Prix in Prague for 1.25 million Euros. Only five riders remained without faults after the first round - three of them German: Christian Ahlmann and Mandato vd Neerheide (by Emerald), Daniel Deusser and Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z (by Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve) and as the last starter Katrin Eckermann also managed the feat with Cala Mandia (by Capistrano).
McLain Ward and HH Azur did not have any faults either, but came out of the course with a time penalty point. The American remained clear in round two. Christian Ahlmann was not so lucky with Mandato, two poles fell into the sand in round two. The dream of a podium was over.

And then Katrin Eckermann came along. The winner of the LGCT leg in Miami attacked and galloped across the finish line with Cala Mandia after only 66.47 seconds. With this she took the lead for the time being. Until Daniel Deusser and Sucderai 1918 Tobago Z entered the course. The little stallion with the lion's heart rarely makes mistakes, and also in the Super Grand Prix the stallion flew over the poles without a fault after 65.22 seconds. Finish, set and victory. Katrin Eckermann was happy about second place. A mega success. "I am almost speechless. Sitting here, next to my favourite rider Daniel Deusser. This is unbelievable," Katrin Eckermann told after her triumph. The winner was happy about so much honour. And about 300,000 euros in prize money.
The other two clear riders from the first round were Harrie Smolders with Monaco NOP and Pieter Devos with Mom's Toupie de la Roque. They collected four penalties each in the second round and jumped into fourth and fifth place.
Christian Ahlmann ended up eighth ahead of Max Kühner and Eic Coriolis des Isles ahead of Christian Kukuk and Nice van't Zorgvliet.
