Schockemöhle Breeding Station and Lewitz Stud mourn the loss of sire Conthargos

The news came as a surprise to everyone today:
"We mourn the loss of Conthargos 🖤 We had to say goodbye to our Conthargos far too early. One of the great sires has left the stage much too early. We remember the beautiful moments and are grateful for 18 years together with him. Thank you Conthargos!"
With these words, the Lewitz Stud and the breeding station of Paul Schockemöhle said goodbye to one of their most successful stallions.
The son of Converter 2 x Carthago Z won the Deister Championships on the Dobrock in 2008 as a four-year-old with a score of 9.5 and easily qualified for the Bundeschampionat in 2009. Due to injury he could not continue his own career. This was then done in his place by his offspring. Soon 20 of his sons were licensed, among them the double champion stallion Conthalou and Continental Blue, who placed in front in the Grand Prix of Herning/DEN and Neumünster, the OS premium stallion Coeur Rouge as well as the Salzburg winner Conthinder/Andrzej Oplatek/POL.

Conthargos offspring made headlines, such as Conchento PS, who first placed with Luciana Diniz/POR and now with Gregory Wathelet/BEL in the Grand Prix of St. Tropez/FRA. Tropez/FRA, London/GBR, Geneva/SUI, Valence/FRA and Vilamoura/POR, Concona, who placed sixth in the Hamburg Grand Prix under Ben Maher/GBR, Easy Girl, who won the Caledon Grand Prix/CAN with Santiago Lambre/BRA and placed third in the Tryon Grand Prix/USA, and Connecticut, who placed first in the Lier Grand Prix/BEL and the 1.55 metre show jumping competition in Calgary/CAN with Matthew Sampson/GBR.
