Kraft Horsewalker: Being innovative as DNA!

The passion for horses is the motor and drive for the company Uwe Kraft Reitsportgeräte & Metallbau GmbH. For more than 25 years, KRAFT has been producing horse walkers in various designs, delighting horse lovers all over the world.

With its slide rail system, KRAFT developed and built the first oval horse walkers in 2010. This development has opened up new dimensions for the horse world. The horses suddenly no longer just run in circles, but in the alternation of curves and straights. The new technology opens up undreamt-of possibilities: The indoor space can be used, a building can be converted, you can suddenly think, plan and produce 20x20 metre horse walkers. It was like a small revolution in the realm of horses. Thanks to this technology, KRAFT won numerous well-known customers such as the Spanish Riding School in Vienna or Markus Ehning, who is one of the TOP show jumping riders in the world. Another major innovation, in addition to numerous smaller ones, is the water-guiding system. It was presented for the first time at the Equitana 2010, the world fair for horses in Essen. Here, horses run up to one metre in water and strengthen muscles and tendons.

"Being one step ahead of the competition is an enormous advantage," says Uwe Kraft. Many of the ideas implemented come at the suggestion of employees, partners or because problems have arisen in KRAFT's own horse business that need a solution. "We are very close to our customers and partners. We hear and perceive what they want and talk to them. Sometimes over a beer until late at night and suddenly the enlightenment comes," he adds with a smile.
Meanwhile, more than 2,000 horse-guiding systems move to over 60 countries on five continents. 60 % of the products go abroad. A large share goes to the USA. The reference list includes numerous well-known customers, but also many riding clubs and owners of boarding stables. The acceptance of horse walkers and treadmills in the equestrian sector is steadily increasing.
