Blood marked foals and youngsters for sale in Handorf

"Eventers from Westphalia" was the motto of the Westphalian online auction for blood-bred young horses. Youngsters and foals were up for sale this evening. Two of the offered youngsters and 5 foals changed owners. The youngsters cost an average of 14,250 Euros. For the foals sold, the customers invested 4,900 Euros.
For the second time this year, the online auction at the Westphalian Stud Book focused on young horses with bloodlines for eventing. Three youngsters and eight foals were for sale in this online auction. Two youngsters and 5 foals were successfully sold to new owners.
With a thoroughbred percentage of 73 percent, the head number 5 Contero by Contendrix/Val Royal xx (breeder: Dr. Rheiner Göhner, Kirchlengern; exhibitor: A. u. Dr.R. Göhner GbR, Kirchlengern) became the price leader of this auction. The bay stallion, whose dam line has produced numerous licensed thoroughbred stallions, was sold for 18,000 Euros.

The most expensive foal of the evening was the head number 8 EinHerrRose by Ellis (breeder and exhibitor: Christiane Rose, Münster). The dam of the colt Bella Biene by Basic was successful in competition herself. She is the half-sister of Designer, who was highly successful in CCI**** competitions under the saddle of event rider Bettiny Hoy. The bay stallion was sold for 6,250 Euros.
With this auction, the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch realised a total of 53,000 Euros this evening. The youngsters fetched an average of 14,250 Euros, the foals 4,900 Euros including one pony foal. The auction lot for the next Westphalian Online Auction is already online. 35 foals will be up for sale again in exactly one week. Bids can be placed from 15 to 19 September.
