2 Million Euros for Oldenburger

After a six-hour auction marathon, around two and a half million euros were in the wallets of Oldenburg breeders. Oldenburg friends from all over the world secured their Oldenburg offspring star at the 95th Autumn Elite Auction at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta. The noble black mare Superb danced at the top of the price list. The 39 riding horses averaged around 50,000 euros, while the 28 Elite foals brought around 15,000 euros.
Trotting to the top of the price list at the 95th Autumn Elite Auction was the ultra-modern, three-year-old Superb by Secret - Welt Hit II - Landadel, from the breeder Lambertus Schnieder of Molbergen and exhibited by Stevens Sportpferde of Molbergen, Lower Saxony. The beautiful black mare was sold for 450,500 Euros to a regular Oldenburg customer and first-class successful breeder in Germany. The future championship mare Superb is sister to Grand Prix star Famoso OLD by Farewell III/Benjamin Werndl and the licensed Schickerio by Stedinger.
The four-year-old Commisario by Comme il faut - Diamant de Semilly - Nekton, bred by Hans-Jürgen Poehls from Neumünster/Schleswig-Holstein, became the second top priced and most expensive show jumper. Exhibitor b-Horses from Eckernförde/Schleswig-Holstein had discovered Commisario as a foal in Vechta. This ultra-modern showjumping star was knocked down for 105,000 Euros to patron Lutz Gössing for Tim Rieskamp-Gödeking's international showjumping stable in North Rhine-Westphalia. Granddam Zara X is sister to the 1.45 m successful Clarissimo Z/Christian Ahlmann.
The top priced elite foal at 62,000 euros was the charming Sempre libre by So Perfect - Fürst Romancier - L'Espoir, exhibited by Brigitte Griesser from Austria. The movement king was awarded to new customers to Great Britain. Sempre libre is out of the premiere crop of the Sezuan son So Perfect. Sire So Perfect shone as reserve winner of the 2019 Oldenburg licensing, and granddam Leica is sister to a licensed stallion by L' Espoir. The top priced jumper foal at 33,000 euros was Connery by Conthalou - Cornet Obolensky - Casall, bred by Rudolf Kühlmann, Rietberg/North Rhine-Westphalia. His sire Conthalou was the celebrated Oldenburg Champion Stallion in 2019. Out of the dam line 1298: The 1.60 m jumper Cynar VA/Jessica Springsteen, USA, and Chupa Chup/Bernardo Alves, BRA. The athletic Connery will in future take his box from regular customers in Sweden. "Jumping stables of the first league have struck in Vechta and got great show jumpers in the auction marathon. We're really happy for our loyal exhibitors," reports Sales Manager Philip Bölle. New customers from Costa Rica secured two Oldenburg dressage stars: Elite foal Tribeca NY by Total McLaren - For Romance I and dressage diva Senorita by Sezuan - Sir Donnerhall I.
Almost half of all riding horses will bring joy to Oldenburg friends abroad in the future. In detail, these quality horses will make a splash in the USA (4), Belgium (3), Hungary (2), Costa Rica (1), Mexico (1), Netherlands (1), Austria (1), Poland (1), and Sweden (1).
In the foal collection, just under half of the young Oldenburg talent was also auctioned off to Ukraine (3), Austria (2), Sweden (2), Costa Rica (1), Great Britain (1), Netherlands (1), Turkey (1), and Hungary (1).
The average price of the outstanding collection of riding horses settled at around 49,000 euros. Total sales amounted to 1,906,000 euros. The foals achieved an average price of about 14,600 euros and a total turnover of 408,500 euros.
